This study aims to compare characteristics of persons admitted to Lambeth acute wards and Lewisham triage wards during 2009 (PERCEIVE study), to compare duration of inpatient admission and service use between persons admitted to Lambeth acute wards and Lewisham triage wards during 2009 (PERCEIVE study), to estimate effects of Triage service on service use, duration of inpatient admission and costs (PERCEIVE), and to estimate effects of new Lambeth Triage service (Lambeth Triage Replication).
