Lay Summary :
Existing evidence from examining remission and recovery amongst patients with personality disorder have been primarily qualitative in nature. Although, qualitative research gives depth of understanding of the experiences of recovery and remission, this type of research has suffered a number of limitations such as time and cost intensive, using small, selected samples, therefore yielding poor generalizability, susceptible to attrition. Therefore the aim of this study is to develop an algorithm to identify the likelihood occurrence of remission and recovery amongst service users with a diagnosis of personality disorder, using SLAM de-identified electronic health records.
