Unraveling clinical patterns in people with epilepsy, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, or dual diagnosis
Distinguishing epilepsy and psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) is a common challenge in clinical practice, resulting in diagnostic delays of 7 years on average. This project will characterise these clinical populations, describe symptoms and their progression, examine what features can be used to support the diagnostic decision-making, evaluate treatment outcomes, and explore the role of inflammatory markers in these disorders.
