Although the scientific evidence of the benefits of early diagnosis is not clear, many people living with dementia believe an early diagnosis is important. Therefore, I will interview people living with dementia, mild cognitive impairment and their carers to understand their experiences of diagnosis and post-diagnostic support.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
