Reasoning: Suicide is a major, avoidable contributor to premature death in schizophrenia and Electronic Health Records provide an opportunity to investigate risk factors and protective factors (including treatments, e.g. antipsychotics) for self-harm and suicide. Aim: study the pharmacoepidemiology of suicide and self-harm in patients with psychotic disorders using the Clinical Research Interactive Search (CRIS)

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
