Antecedents of child maltreatment concerns in child and adolescent mental health services: Latent class analysis
Risk assessment is a routine part of child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), and yet it remains unclear how best to conceptualise different classes of risk. This study will explore differences between risk assessments, will examine the proportion of children attending CAMHS services facing adversities/risk factors beyond those identified in their CAMHS risk assessment (e.g. neighbourhood deprivation, family debt, family accommodation inadequate, family/individuals accommodation inadequate, the threat of eviction, ethnic minority status, insecure housing), and will describe latent classes of risk/adversity profiles in children receiving CAMHS services.
