Treatment resistant psychosis in adolescents

Clozapine, an antipsychotic medication licensed for treatment resistant psychosis, is under prescribed and delays in getting effective treatment results in worse outcomes. The aims of the project are to identify a) the prevalence of treatment resistant psychosis in the adolescent population in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust., b) current medication regime that patients are prescribed, c) potential barriers to treatment with clozapine.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
