Dismantling Structural Racism Underpinning Interpersonal Interactions (DISRUPT) in mental health services. A mixed methods study using electronic health records and natural language processing
The UK lacks cohesive understanding of how structural racism in the mental healthcare system shapes interpersonal interactions between mental health professionals (MHPs) and service users. This proposal aims to build understanding through exploring interpersonal interactions within and between three groups of MHPs (psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses); and how this system generates racial inequalities in service user experiences and outcomes.
