Changes in rates of cannabis and other substances misuse among patients presenting with psychosis at St Thomas’ Hospital A&E before and during the COVID19 pandemic

  • Applicant: Richard Tipping
  • Project ID: 22-003

This project aims to use the CRIS (Clinical Record Interactive Search) to investigate the changes in rates of cannabis use data (and other substance misuse data) collected from people assessed for psychosis by the Psychiatric Liaison Services (PLS) across the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Mental Health Trust within the A&E/crisis pathway. Initially the project will focus on St Thomas’s A&E.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
