Routine screening with MRI in First Episode Psychosis

  • Applicant: Thomas Reilly
  • Project ID: 22-039

Current national guidelines recommend that Magnetic Resonance Imaging is not used as a routine part of the initial investigations for the management of first episode psychosis. We will examine the adherence to this guidance within the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and whether routine Magnetic Resonance Imaging results in clinical benefit.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
