Providing information on QTc recording in SLaM services

  • Applicant: Rob Stewart
  • Project ID: 22-042

QTc is a measure derived from ECG recordings which has become increasingly important to monitor in people on certain medications for mental health symptoms, particularly antipsychotic drugs. We have recently developed a means to ascertain this measure in CRIS via natural language processing and need to produce some output on how it is recorded, the distributions of scores, and whether there are adverse outcomes.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
