Ascertaining cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia

  • Applicant: Robert Stewart
  • Project ID: 22-069

Cognitive impairment describes an important but under-recognised cluster of symptoms that occur in schizophrenia and may adversely affect outcomes. Having recently developed a means of ascertaining these in CRIS (and following an initial analysis of impact on outcomes), this work will develop standards for their measurement and investigate relationships with other clinical features.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
