Insomnia and dementia outcomes

Sleep disturbance may be a feature of early dementia before diagnosis but little is known about its association with subsequent outcomes. This project will investigate recorded sleep difficulties around the time of people’s first dementia diagnosis and the extent to which this predicts later need for mental health and/or general hospital care.
