Improving early detection of psychosis risk
Early detection of psychosis is associated with better outcomes for affected individuals, but current approaches to find people at greater risk of psychosis identify only a small proportion of individuals at high risk of developing a psychotic episode. Building on previous research, we will investigate how many people with their first episode of psychosis reported previously having attended Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and risk markers for psychosis including having suicidal ideas, requiring CAMHS admission, and presenting to hospital with self-harm.
