Multimorbidity outcomes in SLaM service users

We have recently developed natural language processing algorithms to detect 21 different physical health conditions when these are mentioned in our mental health notes. This study will use this capability to investigate associations of physical health conditions with a range of outcomes – both generally (e.g., risk of mortality or admission to a general hospital) and in mental healthcare (e.g., inpatient/crisis care, emergency care).

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
