Despite the malleability of borderline personality traits in youth and early adolescence, there are no existing prognostic prediction models for any personality disorder. Prediction modelling techniques and electronic health record data can be used to develop a prognostic model for personality disorder that can help improve our understanding of emerging personality disorders, promote their prevention and early intervention, and improve long-term outcomes.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
