Referral pathways and outcomes of older adults needing support in a mental health crisis

Older Adult Home Treatment Teams (OAHTTs) were set up to support older people experiencing a mental health crisis as an alternative to hospital admission or to facilitate early discharge from hospital. This study will investigate which people are referred to OAHTTs, which patients benefit the most, and what factors most lead to psychiatric hospital admission.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
