Prevalence of Antipsychotic Polypharmacy in Forensic Services across South London

  • Applicant: Aikaterini Dima
  • Project ID: 23-120

This study will investigate what types of antipsychotics are used on forensic wards, and particularly how common (or uncommon) the use of multiple antipsychotics and high dose antipsychotics is. The prescription of two or more antipsychotics concurrently (polypharmacy) has been reported to be widespread among forensic inpatients; however, research is lacking on prescription trends and polypharmacy rates in South London’s forensic settings.
