There is a need to better understand links between mental health, employment, and benefits receipt in the UK. This project will investigate the relationships between receiving benefits, employment status, mental health difficulties, treatment, well-being and recovery using national information on benefits receipt linked to CRIS (mental healthcare).

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
