An evaluation of diversity characteristics available in CRIS, and their use in research publications.

  • Applicant: Hannah Woods
  • Project ID: 25-009

Collecting and reporting diversity characteristics — such as ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, disability status, and other social determinants —can not only enhance the validity of research findings but also help to address healthcare disparities and promote more inclusive mental health services. This project will evaluate what diversity characteristics are available in CRIS (using the 9 protected characteristics from the Equality Act 2010, and others deemed important). It will also investigate how many CRIS publications have reported and/or used these characteristics in their analyses.
