Examining the prevalence and clinical characteristics of patients with Tardive Dyskinesia through analysis of electronic health record data

Tardive dyskinesia is often underdiagnosed, and very few patients with tardive dyskinesia receive a diagnosis that is recorded in structured electronic health record fields, partly because of the lack of available treatment previously.
In this study, we aim to investigate the prevalence of tardive dyskinesia, comparing diagnoses recorded in structured fields with tardive dyskinesia recorded in unstructured fields, as well as investigating the demographic characteristics, clinical characteristics, and clinical outcomes of these patients.
