Investigating the Effect of Diroximel Fumarate on Glutathione in Schizophrenia (FORTUNE)

Despite its prevalence and severity, very little is known about the pathophysiology of schizophrenia. Our study aims to learn more about the underlying mechanism causing schizophrenia, particularly the role of brain antioxidants (glutathione), which will be measured with MRI before and after taking a drug already approved for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
