Studies show that dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is frequently missed or misdiagnosed – in the UK, only one in three cases is identified correctly, and many patients are initially given other diagnoses. This project harnesses routine healthcare data to investigate the factors contributing to these diagnostic delays and errors in specialised centres.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
