Clozapine use in black patients with Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia

Clozapine initiation is often delayed in treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS), and Black patients are significantly less likely to receive it. However, it’s unclear whether they also face longer delays, which could have serious clinical implications.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
