People with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) seem more likely for develop problems with drugs and alcohol but the research is mainly in adults where childhood diagnosis of ADHD is assumed rather than confirmed by a psychiatric diagnosis. This project will look at if adolescents with a psychiatric ADHD diagnosis are more likely to use drugs and alcohol than their peers and see if experiences of hardship in childhood change that relationship
