Extracting Life Event for Depression and Anxiety Patients from Clinical Notes

  • Applicant: Xinyue Zhang
  • Project ID: 25-110

Understanding important events in a person’s life can help researchers better identify and track mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. This project will use modern computer methods to automatically find and summarise these life events from doctors’ notes. Our goal is to improve how mental health conditions are understood, so that future care and research can be more accurate.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
