Social determinants of postpartum psychosis: onset, course and outcomes

  • Applicant: Helen Baldwin
  • Project ID: 26-003

This proposal extends a recent CRIS protocol investigating longitudinal outcomes of postpartum psychosis (24-099). In this proposal, we will first investigate sociodemographic variations in onset, course and outcomes of postpartum psychosis, by ethnicity and socioeconomic status. Second, we will investigate the association of social determinants on the onset and outcomes of postpartum psychosis, including domestic, physical and sexual victimisation. This aims to inform our understanding of risk and intervention for postpartum psychosis.
