Improving Quality and Driving Down Cost with Regard to the Provision of Emergency Mental Health Care by SLaM to Patients from Abroad who have no Recourse to Public Funds
This study aims to identify patients from abroad admitted to SLaM acute general adult inpatient beds with no recourse to public funds, to identify sub groups within this group such as tourists, asylum seekers, failed asylum seekers, international students etc., to quantify bed occupancy by these patients beyond when were fit for discharge, and to ascertain reasons for delayed discharges.
