Seclusion and Psychiatric Intensive Care Evaluation Study (SPICES)

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which (i) transfer to psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs) and (ii) receipt of seclusion are associated with a reduction in the behaviours they aim to target (e.g., aggression and?absconsion) and to evaluate the costs and cost-effectiveness of both interventions.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
