This study aims to use PET imaging of dopamine receptors to investigate disease-specific sensitivity and rationalise antipsychotic drug prescribing in two patient groups who are extremely susceptible to antipsychotic side effects – schizophrenia-like psychosis with onset after the age of 60 years (SLP) and Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) with behavioural or psychotic symptoms.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
