Special Needs and Autism Study (SNAP) | C4C

  • Applicant: Jackie Briskman
  • Project ID: 15-023

We are proposing to use CRIS to recruit participants to help us with training a researcher on a new assessment for adults who have autism spectrum disorders and/or special needs, and who use very little speech to communicate. The skills that the researcher will acquire will be used to assess volunteers from the Special Needs and Autism Study, a longitudinal investigation into outcomes for young adults who have been diagnosed with autism and/or special needs during a previous phase of the study.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
