The Biological Basis of Reproductive Depression | C4C
We wish to investigate the effect of hormonal flux on brain function in women with and without vulnerability towards reproductive depression. Our hypothesis is that women with a past history of postnatal depression will have specific differences in activation of brain regions typically implicated in mood (e.g. amygdala and orbitofrontal cortex) during this phase, compared to women with a past history of (non-reproductive) major depressive disorder.
