This project will examine whether area of residence is associated with a greater likelihood of having i) a childhood diagnosis of ADHD, and ii) treatment with ADHD medication. Using linkages between school census data and CAMHS clinical data held on CRIS, this project will examine which sociodemographic and educational factors are associated with increased rates of ADHD diagnoses, and subsequent pharmacological treatment. It will then examine, whether service related factors (i.e the borough where CAMHS care is delivered) are associated with significant differences in diagnosis and prescribing rates, once population differences between boroughs are taken into account.
