Previous research has demonstrated that the majority of children aged 4-8 years diagnosed with ASD experienced concerning emotions and behaviours and that parents need support in managing these difficulties. The ASTAR Study is designed to compare two newly developed parent group interventions to help parents of young children with ASD manage challenging behaviour.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
