Cardiac complications of Clozapine

  • Applicant: Eleanor Gosney
  • Project ID: 17-130

Clozapine is the last resort drug for treatment resistant schizophrenia, but has been associated with rare but potentially life threatening cardiac side effects. The aim of this study is to discover the true cases of cardiomyopathy and myocarditis (the two main types of cardiac complications) and the situation surrounding them, I.e. if there are any major risk factors that can predict these complications occurring.
