Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) is the most common anxiety disorder in older people, and although psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy are recommended as first-line treatments, many older people fail to adequately respond to these interventions.This project aims to develop and evaluate a psychological intervention for older people with GAD who have not responded to treatment, based on a novel form of talking therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
