A&E in CAMHS users during COVID
This study explores how the COVID-19 pandemic affected children and young people with pre-existing mental health and developmental conditions, such as anxiety, depression, autism, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. We will look at how often these young people attended emergency services in England for self-harm and mental health-related reasons between 2020 and 2025. Our aim is to understand whether the pandemic changed presentation to emergency services among Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services users.
