An evaluation of comorbid substance misuse in Lewisham CAMHS: prevalence, characteristics and support provision.

Young people with mental health problems who also misuse drugs and/or alcohol often have worse outcomes, yet child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) can struggle to recognise substance use. This project will try to better understand the level of substance use in young people under the care of Lewisham CAMHS, including how common it is and the difficulties that young people that misuse substances experience.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
