An exploration of whether decisions to grant leave outside of the hospital to patients in a medium secure unit are related to risk assessment using the HCR20?

The project aims to review the factors that influence the decision to grant leave outside of the hospital to detained patients in a medium secure hospital service. There will be a particular focus on whether leave decisions are influenced by risk assessment using the HCR20 risk assessment tool. The project will also examine demographic and clinical risk variables to if they have any relation to leave decisions.
