Anxiety Disorders and PTSD in Croydon CAMHS

Croydon CAMHS treat a significant number of children and adolescents with anxiety disorders and/or PTSD. The care pathways for the service state that evidence based treatments should be offered within the service. However, should the young person not show anticipated improvement after one or two treatments have been trialed, they should be referred on the Anxiety and Traumatic stress clinic at the Maudsley (Tier 4). The aim of this audit is to establish the number and characteristics of cases seen in Croydon CAMHS with a diagnosis of an anxiety disorder or PTSD, look at the treatment offered to these young people, and the number who were referred on to Tier 4.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
