Are neuropsychiatric symptoms (modifiable) risk factors for dementia, cognitive decline and adverse outcomes in people with mild cognitive impairment?
A considerable number of older people with mild memory difficulties also have additional mental health problems (as depression or anxiety). We want to explore whether the presence of these mental health problems puts them at a higher risk of adverse outcomes (as e.g. developing dementia or hospital admission), and if these outcomes can be delayed or prevented through treatment.
