Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is characterised by psychiatric symptoms early in the disease course leading to poor quality of life and carer’s stress. Patients with DLB are more frequently admitted to general hospitals and care homes. We want to find out if patients with DLB are more often detained under the Mental Health Act.
