Artificial Intelligence Access, Use and Views from Mental Health Service Users

  • Applicant: David Spalding
  • Project ID: 26-090

Artificial intelligence has been proposed as a tool to support mental health care, but little is known about the views, experiences, and concerns of people with severe mental health conditions regarding its use. The project will survey and interview adults receiving secondary mental health care to explore their use of artificial intelligence, their views on its potential benefits and risks, and how it could be responsibly developed and used within mental health services.
