Association between obesity and survival among patients with Schizophrenia

Metabolic syndrome, a key risk factor of cardiovascular disease (CVD), might explain higher mortality and lower life expectancy in schizophrenia. This project will investigate several potential risk factors for risk of mortality in patients with this disorder.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
