ATTEND: Adolescents and carers using mindfulness Therapy To END depression

ATTEND is a two-armed randomized controlled trial that is aimed at testing the effectiveness of a new MBCT treatment, Mindfulness for Adolescents and Carers (MAC), which has been adapted for adolescents experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety. The intervention arm will receive MAC, which is an 8-week mindfulness-based intervention delivered to the adolescents and their parents/ carers in parallel groups (parents’/carers’ participation is optional); whilst the control arm will receive their treatment as usual.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
