Chemsex: a CRIS study

Chemsex, the use of drugs in a sexual context, is beoming more common and is beginning to impact on local sexual and mental health services. This study will investigate the number of patients who are known to practice chemsex and use drugs such as GBL, GHB, poppers, mephedrone and crystal meth. The study will then investigate admissions, use of mental heatlh services, diagnoses and deaths associated with chemsex drug abuse.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
