Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for Children and Young People with Social Work Involvement: Examining Accident & Emergency Attendance Outcomes

Although many children and young people with social work involvement (CYPwSW) experience mental health difficulties and are referred to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), little is known about the health outcomes following access to CAMHS. This research aims to provide an account of A&E attendance outcomes for CYPwSW who were either rejected or accepted by CAMHS.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
