Children and Young People’s SLaM Image Bank – a description of a diverse London digital cohort linking brain MRI to electronic mental health records

  • Applicant: Johnny Downs
  • Project ID: 25-003

There are very few resources for researchers that can be used to examine childhood brain differences across mental health conditions and patterns of neurodiversity. This research project aims to improve this. It will examine which young people have had a brain scan and also received care under SLaM Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). It will describe the clinical profiles of these young people. It will test whether those with a brain scan information are different from those seen in local CAMHS settings. This will provide researchers important background information before they embark on more in depth studies
