The project, funded by Integrated Care Board (ICB), aims to improve outcomes for dementia patients while optimizing healthcare resources. The project will describe contacts with healthcare services from the point of referral for dementia assessment to the point of discharge, including appointment attendance and medication use, and will investigate ways to deliver more streamlined, cost-effective care.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
