Comparing exposure v imagery rescripting in people with OCD: a SCED

  • Applicant: Talana Adams
  • Project ID: 25-001

This project aims to explore the effectiveness of two interventions used in the treatment of people with OCD who often worry about things that might happen in the future that cause them distress. The two interventions being studied are imagery rescripting and imaginal exposure. Imagery rescripting helps people change the distressing scenario into something less frightening or more positive, and imaginal exposure which supports a person to recognise the scenario is not threatening by deliberately imagine it instead of avoiding it.
